About your therapist

Jasmine Arthur is a PACFA accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a background in Physical Education, health education, and psychosocial mental health support.

Her work is grounded in a holistic understanding of wellbeing, recognising the connection between emotional health, body responses, relationships, life experiences, and the broader contexts people are living within.

Alongside private practice, Jasmine also works in psychosocial support and health education, bringing together therapeutic understanding, practical insight, and strong relational skills developed through years of working with young people, adults, families, and multidisciplinary care teams. Her approach is thoughtful, strengths based, and trauma informed, with an emphasis on building trust, working at a pace that respects the individual, and supporting meaningful progress that feels realistic and sustainable.

Above all, Jasmine values creating a space where people feel met with steadiness, respect, and care, while being supported to better understand themselves and move toward change with greater clarity and confidence

Experience with complex Mental Health presentations

Alongside my psychotherapy and counselling practice, I work as a Mental Health Support Worker, providing outreach-based psychosocial support to individuals with complex and enduring mental health needs.

This dual role informs my therapeutic work and strengthens my ability to support people whose experiences extend beyond the therapy room.

I have experience working with individuals impacted by:

  • Complex and developmental trauma
  • Childhood sexual abuse
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Schizoaffective Disorder
  • Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)
  • Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
  • OCD.

I am familiar with the challenges that can accompany these experiences, including emotional dysregulation, relational difficulties, identity disturbance, heightened anxiety, mood instability, and difficulties with trust, safety, and consistency.
